The "oni" or mon designs looks great and have some nice variety between them.
Some of them do end up being more human than creature.
Art style is generally what I expect for monmae games,
but with some customs sprites it overla looks great for the game.

I wouldn't say the battles are very difficult but they aren't too easy.
There are a lot of different onis, like Baggoh, Yappa and Nighthowlr (very good)

While I haven't beaten it yet I have been having a blast play yami kids and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves monster tamers or shin megami tensei like monsters.
