This is not the game ever, because LBA2 holds that title!
This game is amazing, and incredibly creative! The newer version does not do it any justice at all.

Very rough to play, the game is unforgiving, making a simple mistake (and it's quite easy to) can set you back hours. You need to draw your own map and take copious notes, pay attention to every little detail in order to progress. Some things are quite farfetched.
