TrackMania is a superb game with potentially limitless longevity, and its release on console — along with the fact that the console versions support both cross-play and importing of your progress from the PC version — means that a whole new audience will be able to enjoy this fantastic racing experience.
Apart from servers and a short campaign, the developers have not really prepared anything for the release. Most of the content of the new Trackmania is a reworking of old, and the rest is created by fans... again. In fact, Nadeo and Ubisoft only provide servers and features to meet the user's creative needs. On the other hand, this is what Trackmania...
Trackmania can be incredibly fun, but some awkward track design and camera issues can really dampen the experience.
Nadeo mades a great job and works finally side-by-side with the community to improve the game. Now time will tell how succesfull the game will be in esport.
