Fight hordes of enemies lead by The Slormancer, an evil warlock from the past, in an absurd yet epic Action RPG! Featuring loads of shiny loot, tons of collectibles, countless hours of content, a frenetic gameplay and carefully crafted pixel art.
It probably isn't just me, but after playing for about 5 to 6 hours, I can't help but ask myself: when does this actually become fun?
I've unlocked some skills, just finished the second area, and the core gameplay hasn't really changed at all. The grind feels incredibly tedious. When you finally level up, you get a single point that gives something...
It is a fun aRPG at the start but having to grind just to progress the story is a turn off. Not a grind to get incrementally stronger because you need to for the next quest, but forced to grind artificially imposed by the gamemaker for the sake of a grind (do x so many times). Play Grim Dawn if you have self respect for your time.
It was very promising during early versions. It lacked content, but it had (and still has) soul. Sadly, it still lacks content. I tried to play again more than dozens of times, but it just don't feel good anymore. After getting the reaper you want and required legendaries, loot stops being exciting. In the "endgame" pretty much every piece of loot is...
It's a fun game, but not worth 20 bucks. It's a 1-5 dollar game in my opinion.
It gets old quicker than other ARPGs, but it's fun enough while it lasts.
Level design is meh, animations are meh, mob variety is meh.
Upgrade systems are fun, gameplay is weird because it kinda requires auto-targeting (which is flawed), but it's fun enough.
All in all it's about a 6/10 or 7/10 experience. It's good enough to pass the time for a while...
