Except for one particular aspect, The Last Journey succeeds in building an engaging story in an interesting world with good voice acting and beautiful pixel graphics. Only its gameplay is ultimately and unfortunately a discouraging drag. Despite the exciting premise and well made story assets, exploring the vast empty space still feels incredibly exhausting....

This may appear at first to be a bit of fun for free. It may also appear to go on a bit. But then you can always go away and come back to it at any time, so it's not as if you can really complain that you've wasted the time that you yourself put in by playing the game.
