It's an entertaining game. I do enjoy it. However, I think a lot of the other reviews hit the nail on the head. There are some elements of gameplay that get redundant; at difficulty 2/3, Progress feels slow between runs... I'm at a point where I either select an item that will give me progress towards my next runs, regardless of current run viability,...
The progression system is very boring.
When I picked this game up it had 100% positive reviews.
I found it fun at first, but the progression of doing the same thing over and over and over for the +1 everytime just made me lose all intrest after the first weekend of playing it.
A straight forward combo of inching out progress over multiple runs (a roguelite, if you will), Stronghold (without the walls) and an auto-battler.
Beautiful pixel art, horrible pixel animations. There's too much slewing and pixel snapping. Ick
It has a nice retro soundtrack too.
The English in it is terrible, as is every character.
I can't be arsed...
Great game. I have beaten the first difficulty level before patches and stuff that made the game more accessible. Picking it up after some time was really hard tho. The game heavily relies on timings and knowledge. When you come back after some time off you don't really remember the optimal order of building and what resources you should get and when....
base building, rogue like with permanent upgrades with completly changes your gameplay.
you'll spend more time in the base and the map, while keeping an eye out of the fight, if they need a little help with the spell. you're a support than actual fighting.
You manage the city, manage your heroes, unlock the map, and decide what to focus for each run...
