Reception

Rogue Stormers, despite its limitations and its defects, has managed to amuse and entertain us. It is not a perfect game, but it represents a great challenge for all those who appreciate this particular genre and very challenging videogames.

Rogue Stormers is a decent, hectic shooter with a good co-op mode and a gameplay full of explosions and chaos. Unfortunately, it could have dared a little bit more: the bestiary is pretty lackluster, and the sense of progression is very, very slow, insanely tied to the number of enemies killed.

A pretty colourful and fast run 'n' gun with many ideas and... technical problems.

Rogue Stormers does an interesting genre mixing of platforming, run-and-gun, and RPG elements. On paper this seems like it could be pretty cool, however, it's all very slow given the genre, and there is not much really going on beyond crawling forward a little at a time and killing trash mobs running forward. There are perks, equipment, and other RPG...

Eliminating the rough edges and making the leveling up actually fun and frequent would go a long way to improving Rogue Stormers. It drips compelling things every now and then, but those don’t justify all the grind and frustration that lords over them.
