Revenge of the Savage Planet is an upbeat, satirical action adventure Sci-Fi. Jump, shoot and collect your way across vibrant alien worlds, uncovering new gear and upgrades, while discovering various hidden secrets.
Revenge of the Savage Planet isn't perfect; it doesn't excel technically or innovate in terms of gameplay, but it takes familiar elements and executes them brilliantly. That's where it stands out from other offerings. It has that spark, that special touch you don't often see.
However, the overall experience was great. Revenge of the Savage Planet has even become a bit of a family affair, with my two younger sons now playing it. I really hope we see more Savage Planet games in the future.
Revenge of the Savage Planet is a bigger and better sequel, stretching out its joyful mix of platforming, exploration, and puzzle-solving across four diverse and lively planets.
While not reinventing the wheel, RotSP does offer hours of nonstop adventuring fun. Being able to play in Co-op with friends also is a special treat. Simple enough to pick up and play, also easy enough to play with kids.
Revenge of the Savage Planet is a fitting follow-up to the excellent original. Its impact is mildly diminished by being a little too forgiving, and it's a surprisingly chilled experience despite everything wanting to murder you, but one thing is for certain; Revenge of the Savage Planet is a great time, and I want to see more from the Savage Planet...
