A racing simulation developed in Unreal Engine 5, making use of feedback from professional real world drivers to simulate car physics and behavior in a realistic way.
Rennsport wanted a complete overhaul from the beta, which was attempted, but the end result is back to square one
Rennsport is very much a racer’s racing game and clearly aims to be an eSports staple - the game demands time and focus, though it does reward you in the long run.
This game is a tough sell. On one hand, I like it with all its flaws, but it feels more like a missed opportunity. It’s not a cheap game; you need to pay for extra liveries; the tracks and cars are limited. It’s not racing out of the box. You will need a steering wheel to play this game. You can’t just sit down with a controller and have fun.
If you are looking for a racing simulator with a high level of realism in gameplay, Rennsport is suitable for you. However, you will have to deal with some of the game's visual issues. But if you have no experience in this genre, this game is not a good place to start with a simulator.
Rennsport shows signs of a solid sim core, but its launch state holds it back ' bugs, weak AI, and very little content for a full-price release. Crossplay and Hypercars are appealing, but not enough to offset the rough overall package.
