First, I should let you know that while I LOVE Arkanoid-style games, I have never enjoyed an Arkanoid-like game with 3D graphics. I wanted to enjoy Ionball 2, but for me, the gameplay felt extremely frustrating. The ball does not always travel at the same speed (slows down when near the paddle), and the angles don't always make sense. All the fancy...

Overview
IonBall 2: Ionstorm is an arcade game with a modern 3D twist; re-live the joys and frustrations (in equal measure) of classics games such as Breakout and Arkanoid, in a no holds barred fast action game with stunning 3D environments, awesome effects and a thumping soundtrack. Battle through 60 formidable levels and 3 boss levels with a multitude of enemies; each with their own unique abilities. Upgrade your armament from a range of weaponry such as the mighty machine-gun upgrade for the ball, or the rampant rail-gun for your bat; Ionball 2: Ionstorm will set blood pumping and pulse racing like no other ball game before it!

A great game, ruined by bad controls. The controls of a breakout game are probably the simplest in ANY game. There is left, there is right, and there is a button to launch the ball. That's it!.. VERY difficult to mess up, but Ironsun Studios managed to do just that. The movement is clumsy and unresponsive. At first I thought there was something wrong...
Great reincarnation of the classic arkanoid style game.
Many power-ups, cool fx and tough end bosses, plus additional Tower Assault mode, which means 90+ levels of pure brick madness. Higly recommended arcade action!
Ionball 2: Ionstorm is a AAA 3D Arkanoid / Breakout clone that features hardcore Arkanoid and Breakout like game-play and introduces many original concepts to individualize itself in a crowded genre. The game's difficulty and speed are jacked from the very first board. The speed of the game is extreme and powerups and weapons take some time to acquire...
I'd really like to love this game, but I can't. The main problem is the visibility of the ball. It's the most important pillar in these kind of games. When a ball is full off effects and it pulls a chemtrail-like shinging line, and the whole screen has the same kind of effects, then you'll lose soon.
Just give us a normal ball please :-(
