Reception

A game ahead of its time and that laid the foundations of FPS. Bond, James Bond is back. Building his reputation as a legend within the industry with the game that marked a before and after. Maybe the Xbox version lack about online multiplayer and it does not reach 60 fps but it's still Goldeneye 007 one of the best FPS of the 90's and everyone has...

It’s good to see you again, Mr. Bond. After more than 25 years, GoldenEye 007 has still got the same magic that made it such a seismic event upon its release in 1997. This Xbox version might be missing online multiplayer and cheat codes, but don’t let that put you off. It’s still utterly wonderful.

Its precision aiming mechanic is fiddly and ever so slightly impractical on any controller that isn't the original (and divisive) N64...

I recommend giving GoldenEye a go, whether you’re a grizzled veteran of the ’90s or a newcomer to this retro FPS classic. It still holds up a lot better than you might expect — and if you have the opportunity to get three friends together for some multiplayer, you can learn what true joy really is.
