Reception

For the King II has the potential to be a great tabletop-like RPG. At the moment, the biggest things holding the game back are its bugs, matchmaking, and lack of game difficulties. The game’s biggest positives are the ability to have each character flex into a different playstyle, four-play co-op, and the story. With the different bugs we have encountered,...

For the King 2 doesn't promise a perfect experience, but it's a nice experience for fans of tabletop adventure games.

For the King II is a happy synthesis of accessibility and depth, though some of the mechanics can be a bit opaque. It’s ideally a game for four friends but works well enough for a solo player. There’s a bit of a learning curve and it might take time to click, but overall For the King II is colorful, appealing and a lot of turn-based fun.

Simple and occasionally even elegant mechanics make this cooperative tabletop-style RPG fun once you get into it, but a lacking interface makes it more difficult to enjoy these straightforward adventures than it should be.
