Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is a turn-based strategy RPG centered around the Heroic Games, a tournament where warriors with different motivations compete for a chance to have their greatest wish granted by the Divine Sovereign. The game builds on the tactical foundation of previous Fire Emblem titles, featuring turn-based combat with combat arts, gambits, and crests. Though the free time periods can get repetitive, the maps, narrative, and character progression more than make up for it, making it one of the best games on the Nintendo Switch 2. I can’t even imagine what the next Fire Emblem will be like,...
Ultimately, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is an absolute winner. Despite some clear evidence that somehow even more than what is currently in the game was planned, the game still feels complete, and the story is more than satisfying. The gameplay is some of the most refined it’s ever been, and the visuals are a massive step up from its predecessors,...
