Super fun callback to C&C classics. Really nice unit and mission variety. fun FMV cutscenes. Can't wait to see what they do in coming updates and with future projects.
C&C Slop, but in a good way.
But: They have to deliver HARD here. They promised much, but atm the game got only a few features. So save your money if you wanna go the safe way. Atm its a C&C Reskin with High School FMVs.
After nearly five hours, I can recommend Dying Breed. It already feels like a very promising take on classic C&C style RTS games.
What stood out most to me is its personality. The live-action videos, exaggerated performances and voice acting have the charm of a low-budget 1980s B-movie. Better still, the game commits to the bit from beginning to end....
Dying Breed is a C&C love letter that doesn't quite have the same charm. But regardless, it is fun. Give it a try if you miss the old days of C&C.
I tried the game to see what kind of potential it has, especially since it's still in Early Access, and I genuinely think this project deserves support from the community.
It's basically a carbon copy of Command & Conquer, which back in the day might have been called "plagiarism," but nowadays feels much more like a tribute. I have so much nostalgia...
