In this puzzle platformer, you will embark on a touching journey through the surreal world of a person's mind as a young Griffin and his faithful bear, Birly. Overcome challenges, avoid traps and defeat enemies to help the man find peace.
Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow is an underwhelming puzzle platformer. The eye-catching, whimsical environments simply aren't enough to salvage the poor storytelling and frustrating controls.
Unfortunately, it just has too many issues with its gameplay to make it an enjoyable experience. It has some great ideas, but ultimately, it stumbles because it can’t decide what kind of a game it wants to be. Diehard fans of the genre might be able to overlook its frustrating controls, but most will get too annoyed to enjoy it.
Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow looks to be a graphically stunning game that could reach the heights of its inspiration, but can only dream to do so because the rest of the game can’t quite reach the high bar set by its visual and art direction.
Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow is an amazing experience that will leave you with some questions and give you some thinking for homework.
With its successful design and a reasonable dose of sentimentality this game could have been one of the "unforgettable" experiences, unfortunately it falls into '"just okay" category because of its outdated mechanics and some bugs.
