'Commander Quest' is a unique roguelike that combines the deck-building card game genre with real-time strategy gameplay. Experience a one-of-a-kind gameplay where cute but brutal fantasy units engage in battle. Think about the synergies between your cards and the interactions between units on the field, and enjoy a game that offers both originality and depth.
Hard to judge this one. The gameplay and idea is top. Its fun for sure for a little while until you get deeper into it.
The problem of it is in the fact its not anymore in active development. (Last patch a year ago, nothing new to my knowledge coming.)
What holds it down is first the fact that many mechanics just dont click yet. And that content isnt...
This is a cool concept for a game, I enjoyed it for the most part however it is severely lacking in content. From what i have seen online the development for this game is over and they have moved on other than minor updates. Because of that fact I do not recommend this game. It is cool, but as with most rogue likes the game ends just as you are starting...
Good bones for a game, crippled by the fact that so many cards are useless in all but the most niche situations and levels/unlocking more cards keeps that same ratio of terrible to useful cards (Not even gonna say good, just useful). Less roguelike and more grind since there won't be a great deal of skill involved at any point, just luck.
Good for some short runs. But for long play not too much differences between runs.
