Colonize is a combination of survival game and building strategy that takes place during the colonization period - the 17th century. It tells the story of a settlement in the new world and all the difficulties encountered by the early settlers.
I like the game, it has great potential, it was a risk to buy after its earlier reputation though it does still need work, the game feels very simplistic just build places and watch your colony thrive.
Like many of these sort of games, they do seem to be having trouble with resource gathering, I could have a full load of firewood ready but nobody collects...

One of the better city builders that I've played. There is room for improvement (mainly with play-balance as the colony begins to grow rapidly) but it is really well-done and both enjoyable and relaxing.
I played the demo and enjoyed it so i bought the game its even more enjoyable. I don't understand all the negative reviews. The game is as advertised and for 10 dollars its more than worth it. If you didn't like what it was about why did you bother to play it?
