Become Your Enemy in Biomorph, a 2D Dark Metroidvania!
When you defeat a monster, the BIOMORPH mechanic allows you to take its shape and power. But beware - biomorphing has a cost as these creatures will now unlock new skills and will use them on the player upon encountering them again!
While I enjoy the characters and animation, BIOMORPH doesn't bring many new elements to the metroidvania genre. If you're looking for a new entry point, then BIOMORPH could be a great choice, but veterans may be left wanting more.
I had some fun with BIOMORPH but it definitely doesn't live up to the dozen or so must-play indie Metroidvanias already out there. 🧬
