The roguelike deckbuilder with the soul of a strategy game. Recruit, upgrade, and deploy your forces in tactical battles against corrupt creatures. Make hard decisions in humanity’s final city to bolster your odds. Will you break the cycle of endless descent?
There is SOOO much to like about this game. The art style, the gameplay and mechanics; how it sets itself apart from other deckbuilders and roguelikes. I REALLY enjoy this game from time to time. I REALLY want to like it.
However... (Long review, sorry)
I consistently find that I have to give up mid-run due to catastrophic misplays that I feel could...
TL:DR; An interesting roguelike deckbuilder somewhere between Darkest Dungeon, Gwent and Slay the Spire. A little rough around the edges now, but has a lot of potential that I hope the dev's see through to the end.
My first impressions where not so good, unfortunately. There's not really a tutorial or even a prologue, you just kind of start playing...
Came for the art design, stayed for the game design.
The game has a really interesting idea and a great atmosphere. But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, the execution is a mess.
The devs crammed a ton of different mechanics into the game and just piled them on top of each other. There’s so much ♥♥♥♥ going on that it stops being fun to figure out how everything works.
And you can’t even properly tell what an enemy is planning...
